Who Are We?

Cameron

Cameron-polaAlcoholic.  Roller coaster enthusiast.  Francophile.  Cameron Parker comes from the ‘burbs of Richmond and has been living here for the better part of 20 years, interspersed with stints in DC, Ohio, and France.  A self-described socialite, Cameron currently fills the stereotype of being a homosexual black male. When not mumbling to himself in French, he can be found meandering the streets of Richmond, drinking 40‘s, and/or singing “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson.

Jessica

Joshka-pola

Jessica has never been employed and is too rich for this shit. And heavily dislikes people on Segways. Originally hailing from the exciting suburbs that are Northern Virginia, she now resides in the neighborhood of Oregon Hill in Richmond, Virginia. From class to trash in one fell swoop! Having lived in Oregon Hill for a number of years, this probably is what has lead to her polarizing personality traits. She loves wearing dresses, dining out, taking afternoon tea, and baking cakes. She also loves drinking 40’s of PBR, riding scooters, smoking a pack of Camel Lights daily, and sitting on her porch. Jessica will probably never be totally “Richmond” since she refuses to wear plaid or get any tattoos or piercings, but that’s okay. She’ll drink like a champion seven days a week all while wearing the girliest get up imaginable.

Erin

Erin-polaA gypsy by nature, Erin grew up criss-crossing the continental United States. Having lived in more cities than she can count without borrowing extra hands, she settled in Richmond in 1999 at the tender and naive age of eighteen. Since becoming a resident fan dweller, she has been a sometime contributor to publication RVA magazine, an active member of the local music scene and supporter of the arts community. Having worked in the bar/restaurant industry for years, she can be counted on to know almost every one’s name, and if not that, she knows at least one person they’ve slept with. Erin is an Aquarius who enjoys Jameson’s Irish Whiskey, tattoos of the traditional style and boys in bands. She can usually be found drinking at Empire, tearing up Karaoke at Sticky Rice, or slinging drinks at Mojos.

Chad

Chad-polaChad Brown was born and raised in the capital city, much like the beloved Fresh Prince.  He knows more about RVA than the trannies who hang out on Broad and Allison. His strong personality has created many friends and even more enemies.  Blogging since 2003 under the name chokeychicken (http://www.chokeychicken.com) , his wit and wonder has kept teenage girls and cougars alike swooning for over six years.  He lives for shenanigans, which often result from too much tequila and is convinced that Sticky Rice karaoke is some of the best in the country.  If you can’t find him at Sticky Rice, try the local hospital.  Or jail.
